Patémar: Stewards Of The Oceans

Drawing inspirations from the shore, impeccably crafted into shorts, Patémar is an international, sustainable luxury swimwear brand whose products are made entirely from upcycled plastic waste.

Hand-cut and sewn by a team of Balinese master tailors who have spent decades perfecting their craft, where every pair is made, pressed and individually numbered, every shorts is completely traceable back to its tailor.

Patémar comes from the Latin for "Steward of the Ocean" and the idea is to help build a brighter, cleaner, and fairer future. That is why all of their fabrics go through the Control Union in the Netherlands and are Global Recycled Standard (GRS) 4.0 certified. The packaging and tags are also fully recyclable and made from FSG certified paper. Customers buying one pair of shorts are being part of recycling the equivalent of 12 plastic bottles in the ocean.

This is 21st century fashion for the conscious consumer–an injection of elegance into our restful spaces: a masculine look for a beach day or understated control as part of that resort casual look. These are truly smart and timeless designs for the modern man.
